The website

This website was created to provide a central resource for the inquiring student of the Space Industry and related topics.

It was also created to support the teacher who wants to support their future.

Its physics course structure is South Australian Centric focussing on the SACE stage 1 and 2 (years 11 and 12) and then into a background for university studies.

I have been the chief coordinator and editor (so blame me), however, it is not a solo effort and includes significant input from a number of true experts in their fields.

About ESpy Ocean and ESpy Earth

ESpy Ocean are Satellite Image Processing Experts working in the fields of:
  • Dark Vessel Detection: Fast delivery of key information, superior detection of covert targets, high safety (IUUs have no idea they have been spotted and profiled).
  • Ocean Fish: Wide area ocean environmental condition report, and pelagic fish detection.
  • Shark behaviour modelling and prediction
  • Terrestrial monitoring ESpy Earth: Rapid and ongoing snapshots of aerosols and agricultural area condition.
ESpy Earth are also Satellite Image Processing Experts working in the field of terrestrial monitoring:
  • Methane and other aerosol monitoring
  • Agricultural area condition
  • Water resource monitoring

About me (Ian Dewey, main, but not only, author)

CEO and Co-Founder of ESpy Ocean Pty Limited.
Also a highly accomplished physics teacher and presenter in high school physics (students merits and awards)

I have a background in anti-submarine warfare (ASW) and human performance, currently working in the Space and Defence industry. My tools of trade are physics, mathematics, data analysis and AI programming.

When my wife and I founded ESpy Ocean we were absolutely committed to the education of the next generation.
